Nice weekend for lighting the dark!

This weekend I thought it would be fun to play with 'dark lighting' and I really love the moody feel that can be achieved. I started out with the idea to play with some rim lighting but realized that in the broad daylight, my optical doesn't fire every time. I figured as long as I stayed wireless using my skyports, I would switch over to playing with some darker looks and even try out my new snoot. I am very pleased with the outcome but now I'm especially looking forward to my new gear coming so I can do away with the optical and be an all wireless girl! Whoohoo!

Here are my favorite few from the weekend. There are more on my Flickr page, please go check them out.

My big exciting news for the day is that I'm going to be shooting a friends' husband's band this week and am VERY much looking forward to it. I had a bunch of ideas for how to shoot them but now they have nailed down a venue for the shoot and it's even better than I'd hoped! I look forward to meeting the guys and will post the photos once they are done.

Senior Portrait Shoot on a beautiful day

Yesterday I had the opportunity to work with a wonderful, sweet and gracious young girl that graduates next week. We had a blast doing the shoot and she was wonderful about doing any pose I asked of her. It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to doing more shoots with people!!! I am very pleased with how these turned out and I'm happy to report that the girl's mom also loves them.

Enjoy!

PINKS "ALL OUT"! Whatta weekend!

This weekend was a complete BLAST! It all started with us going up to Commerce on Friday and we didn't stop going until we hit the bed Sunday morning around 2am. It was wonderful getting to see friends that had come all the way down from New York to see our friend Drew race. He didn't get into the big show, but we had so much fun that it was ok. I'm burned up like a lobster but have coated down with ER burn care cream so it has eased it a bit - and I had coated down with SPF 50!!! I would probably be in the hospital if I'd not put that on LOL!

Ok I'm keeping it short right now so enjoy the photos!

TGIS...yep, Thank God it's Saturday

This has been a long and busy week. I am so very glad for it but I'm also tired. Each Real Estate shoot is proving to be the equivalent to a 2 hour workout. It is especially harrowing since apparently nobody uses A/C but me anymore. The homes, that are not vacant, have had no A/C running and I've left a hot mess! I see that for now on, I have to start packing a little insulated bottle of water. I'm letting myself get dehydrated and that's not good.

Here is one shot from each of the 3 homes.
